Cadets and staff from 7 Squadrons took part in a First Aid and Weapons Training weekend.
| The training took place at Brunswick Camp, ATR Pirbright, over the weekend of the 12th and 13th of January. The weekend was designed to provide two streams of training: | | | Cadets who were not trained on the L98-A1 weapon were taken through the Initial Weapons Training, Weapons Handling Tests and then shooting on both short and long ranges. |
 | Cadets who were trained on the L98-A1 were taken through the Young Lifesaver Plus training followed by shooting on both short and long ranges.
| | All of the cadets that took part in the Young lifesaver Plus training passed the qualification. | | Once the training was complete the cadets were then taken through the 28 obstacles on the Pirbright Obstacle Course. |
| Exercise Controller, Flt. Lt. Chris Ibbitson commented: “The weekend was packed with activities, with cadets getting the chance to complete several different activities, all with the chance of gaining further qualifications and skills. It was a very successful weekend, all of the cadets enjoyed themselves, as did all of the staff. It was good to see so many squadrons pooling resources and achieving so much in a short space of time." | |
